Chipped Sandstone Corner Quoin Rebuilt & Colour-Matched

On this brick built property a dressed buff sandstone quoin had been chipped and spalled, a sizeable wedge of stone broken away from the crisp external angle of the corner. The fracture left a rough, pale scar cutting across the clean arris where the sandstone meets the red brickwork, right beside a downpipe on an exposed corner that would only weather faster if left. This was a textbook sandstone repair, prominent and worth putting right properly.

Cutting out a dressed block and bedding in a new one is costly, slow and risks disturbing the courses around it.
