Water-Stained Marine Cabin Cabinet Top Restored

The honey toned top of this cabin cabinet had taken a real beating. Heat and moisture had bleached pale, cloudy patches into the lacquer, while a dark, scorched looking stain had eaten right through the finish near the centre, blistering the surface where it was worst. On polished marine joinery, damage of this kind reads as neglect, and this was a clear candidate for water stained marine cabin worktop restoration carried out without tearing the unit out.

Stripping and re veneering the whole top would have been heavy handed for the area involved, so our technicians chose an engineered repair in place. Using Magicman proprietary materials, they rebuilt the ruined surface, re grained and recoloured it to meet the surrounding timber, then sealed everything under a tough, hard wearing finish. Done aboard in a single visit, the work spared the owner a stripped out cabin, a costly replacement and a pile of needless waste.

The result is a clean, even surface with the blistering, bloom and burn gone for good. Grain and colour flow seamlessly from one side of the top to the other, and the cabinet looks ready for service once more.
