What We Did

“It was Alex Jones and I, Liam Hadaway, who worked on the project. We repaired chips and join lines on the bar before applying TuffSkin Gloss and also did stain removal and applied TuffSkin Satin to the vanity units in the toilets.”

The bar counter had several small chips and visible joins common in busy hospitality environments. Our technicians carried out precision repairs to reinstate a smooth, seamless surface, colour-matched to the stone, so the fixes blended seamlessly into the original finish. Following a thorough clean and surface preparation, we installed TuffSkin Gloss to preserve the bar’s polished look and provide a robust barrier against spillages, acids, oils and dyes.

In the washrooms, we undertook targeted stain removal on the vanity units, then installed TuffSkin Satin. The satin finish was selected to respect the design intent, offering a refined, low-sheen aesthetic, while providing the venue with the practical benefits of easier maintenance and improved resistance to future staining and etching.

Working to a Six-Hour Turnaround

The only significant challenge on this project was time. The casino closes for just six hours each day (06:00–12:00), which meant every shift had to be meticulously planned. Anything we started had to be completed and fully protected before doors reopened, no exceptions. Our team sequenced the repairs and TuffSkin installation to fit within these tight deadlines, coordinating cleaning, preparation, curing times, and handover so that areas could return to service on schedule.
